PG 00 Raiser Gundam WIP and Review (Part 5)

In the previous post, we completed building the 0 Raiser. This time, we’ll look its weapons and the GN Sword III to finish up the building process of all the parts. After this, spray a gloss coat on all the parts and do some more detailing before wrapping it up.

For a Perfect Grade kit, the weapons here are a bit lousy in my opinion and they leave huge nubs and seamlines. I can’t stand looking at those seamlines so I fixed it with solvent glue (I used Tamiya extra thin cement).

Some of the smaller parts have harder to reach places and you can’t really sand it down properly. Luckily I had some sanding sponge I got from Japan and helped me reach those curved parts.

There are 8 GN Missiles altogether and they are attached in pairs. The two larger ones are the Particle Disturbance Missiles (stated in the manual). These missiles attach onto the side binders of the 0 Raiser.

The larger missile pods, called the Hand Missile Unit (also from the manual). You have to be careful to get the directions properly, its pretty easy to get confused here. Just look at the little panel lines and make sure they align in one direction. It doesn’t really matter actually but it will help you later if you’re following the decal locations in the instruction manual.

These are the so called GN Capacitors. I’m not really sure what it does but you can’t really see it after you put them onto the side binders.

Finally, we have our GN Sword III. The white parts holding the green sword is a bit loose so I put some glue behind it. There’s a little part popping out of the sword section to stability if you combine both the 0 Raiser and sword together. As you can see above, I also colored the front section of the gun with glossy aluminium to make it look better.

There is an additional red colored part which attaches to the sword to make it much longer and bigger. I won’t be snipping those parts out yet but will probably do so in the next post. This concludes the building process of the 00 Raiser. Overall, the 0 Raiser is a simple but solid build. I tried docking it to the 00 Gundam but there are some stability issues with the waist unit. I’ll see if I can try to fix it up.

Next up, I’ll do a wrap up of what I’ve done with some additional photos.

I´m very enjoy your guide, is very beaitifull, sorry fot my bad english, I´m a spanish talking.
Well, I just buy one perfect grade 00 and I have some questions.
1. Exactly, which code and mark of spray you use for the paint job, especially in the gray parts for the inner frame and the weapons? Is Tamiya?
2. What is the code and mark for the head gray metalic spray paint(under white parts), you too use for the rockets in the back, really?
3.You recomended to me use white spray paint for the external parts and the blue spray for the blue parts?? What marks and please if you have a code??

Thanks for your time, very thansk! :)
